Out Now: Home!

We are proud to announce: Home, our new recording, out now on all streaming platforms! A wonderful composition by Malek Jandali integrating ancient Syrian musical themes into the western form of the saxophone quartet.

According our tenor saxophone player Bas Apswoude the composition Home is a great new addition to the quartet’s repertoire and the saxophone quartet canon in general. Bas: “Malek Jandali has a very recognizable style in which he combines Arabic, Romantic and contemporary influences into a natural whole. As players we can express a lot in his work: beautiful harmonies and melodies, music that tells a story, but also virtuosity, both individually and with the ensemble.”
